The food was amazing, especially the sausages and bacon for breakfast. We were full all day! The staff were exceptional, serving delicious food and beverages. They even told us about some nearby hiking trails - great way to explore the area. The property had stunning views of Loch Eck and the surrounding areas. We loved the cozy Scottish vibes and the beautiful aesthetic of the place. Shoutout to Lisa for being so kindhearted and recommending the trails, and to Rhiannon, the gin expert, for the awesome conversation and great care during our stay.
The weather was a bummer and limited our activities. It would have been nice to have more options on the menu, like fruit salad for breakfast and some green veggies with the cooked breakfast.

The service and housekeeping were top-notch, ensuring that everything was in perfect order. The room amenities, including the ironing facilities and sitting area, added to the comfort and convenience of my stay. The hotel also offered pet amenities, which was a wonderful bonus for those traveling with furry friends. Additionally, the on-site dining restaurant and bar/lounge area provided a great atmosphere and a wide selection of delicious food and drinks. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel truly welcomed.

Loved the outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and rock-climbing, because who doesn't want to risk their life while on vacation? The bar had free WiFi, so I could make my social media followers envious of my stay.
Just adored the faint smell of dampness in my small basement room, it really added to the claustrophobic experience. Spiders in the corners were a lovely touch, I highly recommend for arachnid enthusiasts.

The rooms at Whistlefield Inn are cozy and comfortable, perfect for a family like ours. We loved the seating area, where we could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring Dunoon. The flat-screen TV with satellite channels kept our kids entertained, and having an electric kettle in the room was convenient for making tea and coffee in the morning. The private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries was a nice touch, and the hairdryer provided saved us from packing ours. We were lucky to have a room with views of Loch Eck, which added to the charm of our stay. The private entrance to our room felt like a luxury, and we felt like we had our own little retreat.
While the room was well-equipped, we personally didn't find the chocolate provided appealing. But hey, everyone's got different tastes!

The building had some character and the location was beautiful, with tranquil surroundings. The breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed looking out over the loch during our meals.
The room was tiny and the ceiling was low. It was quite expensive for what it was.
